Yieldbroker’s Inaugural Charity Day to Support Fight Against Neurofibromatosis
Yieldbroker has joined hands with the Children’s Tumour Foundation (CTF) in its cause to conquer Neurofibromatosis (NF). As part of a wider giving programme, the firm will host a Charity Day in Sydney on Thursday 23rd August 2018, and donate revenue from all transactions executed on the Yieldbroker platform on this day to the Foundation. NF’s sufferers – mainly children – develop tumours that can cause severe disfigurement, blindness and deafness. There is a significant rate of mortality attributed to the suffering of this disease, as its victims attempt suicide. In Australia, the condition occurs more commonly than some widely recognised conditions like Cystic Fibrosis, but community awareness remains low, and there is still very little support for affected people. The Foundation’s aim is to provide supportive care to NF sufferers – more than 10,000 impacted families in Australia – with a focus on three main areas:
- Providing supportive care for sufferers and their families
- Advocacy and education among local communities
- Advancing medical research and clinical capacity
Yieldbroker’s Charity Day is part of the firm’s continued efforts to charitable giving that has spanned over 15 years. “The Foundation receives only a very small amount of government funding, so we’ve committed to sponsoring its cause with the aim of making a real difference to impacted families,” said Anthony Robson, CEO of Yieldbroker. “Anyone who trades on our platform on Charity Day will be supporting a whole community of people who really need help,” he said. Parties interested in supporting Yieldbroker and CTF can do so by:
- Getting set up on the Yieldbroker platform before Thursday 23rd August 2018
- Contacting the Foundation directly to donate, raise funds, or volunteer
