From 31st of January 2003 Yieldbroker ceased to provide an aggregated research site.

Yieldbroker, Australia and New Zealand's only online fixed income trading portal, today announced that effective from 31st of January 2003 it would cease to provide an aggregated research site alongside its trading platform.

Yieldbroker’s General Manager, Rachael Rogers, stated that “the decision followed a review of client usage that indicated limited interest in the service in its current format. Rather than upgrading the research service, we have decided to focus business activity and direct resources to our core business of fixed income pricing and trading.”

“We remain committed to the ongoing development of the Yieldbroker indicative pricing and trading system with a number of recent upgrades significantly enhancing the quality of the service,” Ms Rogers said.

The popularity of Yieldbroker’s indicative pricing and trading system has expanded rapidly in the past year with a substantial increase in the amount of client turnover transacted on the site.  After the first year of operation, trading volumes now exceed $25 billion per annum.

The research site had been developed and maintained by financial market information and research provider, Molten Markets. Simon Carmody, the Managing Director of Molten Markets, said “we understand a dedicated research site for the fixed income market is no longer a viable option for Yieldbroker. However, we believe a broader front office offering is required to service the market. Molten Markets released a full service research product late last year.
