13th April 2007 Media Release

Yieldbroker welcomes ANZ and RBC as market makers, launches Interdealer market and extends coverage into Asia

Sydney - 13th April 2007 — Operators of Australia and New Zealand's leading fixed income trading platform, Yieldbroker Pty Ltd, today announced that the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) and RBC Capital Markets (RBC) will join the platform. This news coincides with Yieldbroker’s decision to launch a new, low-cost, Interbank trading platform. Yieldbroker is also finalising the availability of a new interface allowing participants access to liquidity throughout Asia.

Since its 2001 launch, Yieldbroker has established itself as the dominant electronic trading platform in the Australian marketplace. ANZ and RBC have agreed to participate in Yieldbroker’s existing Dealer to Client market alongside shareholder banks ABN Amro, Citi, Deutsche Bank and Macquarie bank. Similarly, both banks will also be joining a growing list of dealers able to participate in Yieldbroker’s new Interdealer market.

Yieldbroker's General Manager, Richard Swift, said the news reinforces Yieldbroker's capability and commitment to improving the liquidity and price transparency available in Australasian fixed income markets.

"We are pleased to welcome ANZ and RBC on board. Both organisations share our beliefs in the future of electronic trading in terms of efficiency and innovation. Our ongoing investment in efficient technology has allowed us to offer market access on unprecedentedly attractive terms,” said Swift.

Yieldbroker’s Client Relationship Manager, John Kimpton, concurs adding “ANZ and RBC will gain access to an established liquidity pool and our clients, both onshore and those accessing via the Reuters interface in Asia, will benefit from a broader panel of pricemakers when seeking to price or trade less liquid securities.”

Eric Frerer of ANZ stated: “ANZ has a strong commitment to providing the best possible service to Australian clients and we see our association with Yieldbroker as a way of enhancing this.”

RBC’s Head of Sales, Michael Hall said: “Yieldbroker provides us with greater access to domestic clients, and through the interface with Reuters it also has the potential to deliver greater flows out of Asia.”

Yieldbroker’s Chairman, David Ioannidis of Citi Global Markets Australia welcomed the new pricemakers and described the broadening in the number of banking participants “as a further step towards providing a shared interbank dealing infrastructure, co-operatively owned and operated on behalf of the Australian banking community”.

“Yieldbroker’s mandate has always been to provide a low-cost, efficient and functionally agile trading platform for the benefit of its participants. We are now six years down the track and our desire to continue innovating remains strong. We will soon be launching an Interbank trading platform with the intention of reducing execution costs among market makers and introducing straight through processing initiatives through key strategic partnerships”.
